Celebrity trainers Anna Kaiser, creator of the popular NYC-based fitness brand, Anna Kaiser Studios, reveal to Best Life eight simple steps to getting ripped without going to the gym.

“Shakira trains with Anna Kaiser five-day-a-week sessions and sometimes does two-a-days. "We alternate between strength and cardio intervals. Some days we do just cardio and then strength and some days we start with strength and then do cardio, we like to mix it up," Kaiser told E! News. "I want to make sure that she is improving her endurance so that she can go into a two-hour show and also has the strength and stamina to make it through a five-month tour. It's about making sure she gets a little bit of everything."

Anna Kaiser has trained her fair share of celebrities and regular exercisers alike over the years. But when she’s working with singer Alicia Keys, she knows she can expect something a little different.

“I’ve never seen her check her phone,” says Kaiser. “Every other celebrity I’ve ever worked with—and also non-celebrity—checks their phones, but Alicia has never done that. The minute she walks into the studio, she is present. She’s like, I’m here, this is my time.”

“It's lovely to work with someone and really see that process where we just really start to love ourselves more and look forward to connecting to our bodies and connecting to each other. It's less about making ourselves look a certain way for a certain person," notes Kaiser [about Ripa]. "It is really more about when we feel good and we're happy in our skin, we radiate joy and beauty and it makes people go, 'Wow, you look the best you've ever looked,' and it doesn't have anything to do with the way your body looks."

"I think even as a woman in New York City, sometimes it's hard to have a safe space, a place where you can go where no one is gonna judge you,' adds Kaiser. 'Keep it up every day, keep crushing it,' advises the fitness guru. 'I think all of us are feeling the heaviness of the world right now. And so leaning on each other. Finding that great support group of women and showing up for each other is going to keep us going."

“Shakira is really focused on consistency with her workouts—the strength, the cardio, the stamina, the power, the flexibility—everything,” Kaiser explained that the singer usually works out six days a week, and does 90-minute dance interval workouts that combine cardio, strength, and vinyasa flows."

“Anna promised that there "a lot of benefits" to adding dance-based training to your fitness routine, including "accessing every muscle from the inside out" and developing "a new awareness" for how to most effectively activate those muscles.
